この"Edelweisss, bless my homeland forever"に、ものすごい感動を覚えました。これから自分の国を離れ、もう二度と帰国できないため、エーデルワイスに故郷への思いを託す気持ちが伝わってきます。
子供の頃よく母と観てましたが大人になってこのシーンの意味を理解して号泣…もう二度と愛する祖国に戻れないと思いながら歌うエーデルワイズ…😭

今なんとなくエーデルワイスが脳内に流れ、観に来ました。。。世界が平和になることを強く願っています。。。なんか、トラップ大佐の歌声がかすれたあと、皆がフォローしている場面で泣きたくなります。。。

The movie and the real story behind it, still very moving to me. I was in high school when the movie came to Japan. I saw the old black and white movie when I was much younger. All the music and songs, it’s still my world.

中学2年の時、渋谷のパンテオン、今はヒカリエになっている東急文化会館の映画館で観ました。景色や邸宅の美しさ、ストーリーと俳優達の素晴らしさ、そして音楽❤ どの歌も大好きになり、習いたての英語で歌詞を覚えました。夢と希望に満ちた明るい時代の象徴のような映画です。

This beautiful song and Feed the birds from Mary Poppins have kept me going from childhood first acquaintance to my near retirement.
Masters of the art of plucking the heart strings, Rogers and Hammerstein and the Sherman brothers.
They don't make them like this anymore, more's the pity.

This song makes me homesick for Austria... and I've never been to Austria, nor do I have Austrian heritage I'm aware of. 😅😅
My grandma and I watched this movie together more times than I can count, and it reminds me of her; it was just about her favorite song.
I don't care about the historical inaccuracies in this movie. I like to imagine that, in some universe, in some dimension, events unfolded just as depicted in TSOM, and that Edelweiss is actually an old traditional Austrian folk song, not a modern times invention of Rogers & Hammerstein. 😁🤗 Beautiful movie, happy childhood memories, the best grandma any kid could want. If I ever get to be a grandma someday, she is my role model. 💙💙🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
